Foster Care is provided to children who have been removed from their homes, but who do not need the intensive supervision as supplied in a group home.

Foster Care is designed to closely emulate a normal family environment so that the child's transition home is made easier. Wherever possible, foster children with siblings are placed together in the same foster home.

The focus of Foster Care is on both permanency and individualized treatment, with the strong preference for reunification of the child with his or her family.

The ultimate goal of Foster Care is to achieve stability, safety, and permanence for each child through individualized treatment plans implemented in each home and community, the development of positive, supportive relationships within each family, and by the pursuit of adoption if the child is unable to return home.
